Resources for Churches

Being good steward of someone else's money means being as resourceful as possible. Churches are often challenged to find enterprise quality solutions, but with shoestring budgets.

Slack

Slack is one of the most popular messaging and communication platforms. It fits right between a group text and email. It can work well as a communication tool for a small team or be used for an entire organization. The free tier is useful enough to kick the tires, however some organizations will benefit from paid features.

Trello

Trello is an easy to use tool to collaborate and manage projects. Sure beats stacks of index cards and post-it notes.

Google

Most popular as a search tool and email, Google’s productivity sweet can potentially replace Microsoft Office. Google Forms can be useful for organization wide surveys. Google Sites can help provide an easy to use website creation and hosting tool without the need for coding. Many of Google's tools are free for personal use, but require a subscription for enterprise services.

Planning Center

Planning Center offers a variety of products which may be a good fit depending on the structure and liturgy of your church. Many organizations will benefit from People for member management. Planning Center Services is a standard for service planning and volunteer scheduling.

Microsoft

If you must have access to Microsoft Office, then this can be a good solution, however prepare to pay for it. If you go this route, take full advantage of all the features, including Microsoft Teams for communications and collaboration.
